How to Obtain a Library Card

DO YOU LIVE WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF KNOXVILLE?

If you do, you are being taxed for the library and may have a card at no additional cost by showing a proof of address. A driver's license with your current address is preferred, but a check or utility bill with current resident address printed on it is acceptable.


DO YOU LIVE OUTSIDE THE CITY LIMITS,BUT WITHIN THE #202 SCHOOL DISTRICT?


If you do, you must show a proof of address and pay $32.00 yearly for a library card. This card may be used in all Alliance Library System libraries.

DO YOU LIVE OUTSIDE THE KNOXVILLE CITY LIMITS AND OUTSIDE THE #202 SCHOOL DISTRICT?

If the above is true, then you must determine what school district you are in and go to the nearest library within that school district to obtain a card. The card may be used at all Alliance Library System libraries, including Knoxville.
